Mate: A concept by IACT 375 Fall 09

The team of students are working hard on their social exploration game for Interaction 10 and CSCW 2010 which are both taking place this coming February here in Savannah.

    How interesting! It’s like a combination of FourSquare, Loopt, Brightkite, and (somewhat) Facebook, and all geared toward conferences.
    Some things to consider in future builds/creations of this would be the ability for Conferences to sign up and, for a nominal fee, create their own “Network” with a pre-set list of attendees as users. You sign up for the conference, and you’re given your username and password for the application. The app also could allow you to download and save all the Mated info at the end of the conference, before automatically erasing all of the users from the database.
    Gosh I’m excited to get in to these classes down the road…
